Ambient Requiems

by Black Arts Lab & Philip Stevenson

Dear Friends & Fans,

Like many others, my music collaborator, Philip Stevenson, and I have recently been grieving the loss of friends and the passing of influential music icons. While preparing this album for release, we realized it reflected our somber mood. In tribute, Ambient Etudes 9-16 is now titled Ambient Requiems. The cover will be another stunning photo by photojournalist Henning Christoph. These changes will not affect pre-orders from being downloaded when the album drops on Friday, July 7th.

With what often seems like the world spinning out of control, we encourage you to embrace each day with gratitude for blessings big and small, and for the many hidden in plain sight. We hope this album brings solace to you in these most difficult times.

I dedicate this album to Shawn “Gus” Vitale (9/8/61 - 5/11/23)
“Heartbeat & Lead Sound Engineer of the 9:30 Club for nearly 30 years.” Rest in Peace, My Dear 9:30 Family Brother!
